While this is the race system, technically, there is only the human race. But thanks to the splitting of the afterlife, spirits have become a little scrambled. This has brought on a few special cases of unique individuals. All races other than human are locked on release.
Human
The vast majority of people will be Human. Before the cataclysm, it is said that there was no other races apart from human.
Ghost
A spirit separated from a body. A natural death will cause a ghost to split from its host and become crazed within 48 hrs. However there are special preparations that can be made so that when death occurs, a ghost retains its sanity and control over its spirit body. A powerful whisper may also be able to forcibly rip a ghost from a live host.
Vampire
A spirit who has inhabited a dead body and reanimated it. Not the classical interpretation of a vampire. The vampire must feed on the spirits of others periodically to retain life. A type of immortality can be achieved by these individuals, as long as they remain well fed and their host body holds up. A crazed spirit that inhabits a dead body would still be called a vampire, however it would act more in line with a classical interpretation of a zombie.
Lycanthrope
A spirit that has merged with that of an animal spirit and inhabits a body. The body and mind exudes animalistic traits of the type of animal involved. The degree to which this happens varies, and can be as little as a little extra body hair to a full on werewolf form.
Hull
A spirit that has merged with an artificial body. Through the wondrous art of sparkcraft, a spirit is able to pilot and provide the brain for a mechanised body.
Demon
A humanoid creature of otherworldly power. Much is unknown of this race. This race will only be achievable through events.
